In a collective work "History of Peasantry of Belarus: From an Antiquity up to 1996. In 3 Vols." prepared in the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus the questions of formation and development of economic, social and spiritual life of the Belarusian peasantry up to middle of XIX century are covered. In complex, on the basis of wide historiographycal base and large number of sources the evolution farming, landed property and land tenure, duties, serfdom, market connections of the village manufacturers is analysed. A problem of the social contradictions and conflicts in the Belarusian village , and also culture and spiritual world of the Belarusian peasant especially is considered.
