In January, 1997 a century has passed since the birth of the outstanding Belarusian scientist and organizer of a science, the Hero of Socialist Labour, Academician Vasilii Feofilovich Kuprevich (1897 -- 1969). The anniversary session of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was devoted to this date. The book represents the collection of submitted reports in which scientists, relatives, and pupils of V.F.Kuprevich told about his contribution to the development of science, its scientific-organizing activity, and personal representations about him are also given.
