Scientific Editor: Dr. Vadim E. Sidorovich

In the book about mustelids in Belarus prepared in the Institute of Zoology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus,, the following problems and aspects of their biology and population dynamics were studied: competition and coexistence in the assembly, interspecific relationships of mustelids with other vertebrate predators (owls and raptors), disappearance of the European mink, forming and dynamics of mustelid helminthocenosis, and anthropogenic impact on mustelid populations. The book has been mainly written up and edited by V.E. Sidorovich and is based on his study on mustelids and the joint research works with the next group of colleagues: M.M.Pikulik, G.O.Lauzhel, E.I.Anisimova, H. Kruuk, D.W. Macdonald, A.K.Tishechkin, V.V.Ivanovsky, D.A.Krasko, V.T.Shimalov, E.I.Bychkova, Tr.M.Heggberget, I.L.Tumanov, A.G.Polozov, A.E.Vinchevsky, V.V. Savchenko, J. Ozolins, T.Maran. Mr. V.D.Lobko has carried out the art and technical works to the book.
