The results of a comparative estimation of the genofund of Cowberries from a collection of the Central Botanical Gardens of the NAS of Belarus including 35 forms and grades of local flora and those introduced from other regions on biochemical structure of leaf of different age are summarized. The main tendencies in a seasonal cycle of accumulation of photosythesing pigments, mineral macro- and microelements, carbohydrates and products of secondary synthesis are shown. The forms and grades of Cowberries with the highest contents of a wide spectrum biologically of active connections in conditions of Belarus being perspective for introduction in industrial culture are revealed as sources of medicinal raw material. Optimum terms of preparation of Cowberry's leaf for all objects recommended to introduction are established. The book is intended for the experts in the field of botany, introduction, physiology and biochemistry of plants, wood economy and pharmaceutical industry.
