The physical and technological bases of ion-beam modifying of constructional materials on the basis of metals, alloys and ceramic materials are considered. The brief characteristic of the equipment for ion-beam processing is given. The results of investigations of structural-phase transformations and change of physical-mechanical properties of superficial layers of wide scale of constructional materials under action of ion beams are stated.
