The monograph "Belarusian Language" was published as a regular volume in the series "The Modern History of Slavonic Languages" and prepared in the framework of international program "Modern Changes in Slavonic Languages (1945--1995)". It is written by scientists from the Belarusian State University and the Yakub Kolas Institute of Linguistics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The book is devoted to discussion of modern conditions and level of development of national language, disclosing interlinguistic factors of its functioning, and characteristics of the most important active processes, which occur at different levels in the system of Belarusian language in the second half of XX century.
