PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY

Soldatov V. S., Elinson I. S., Mishkina L. I., Omelchenko T. N., Tsygankov V. I.
Kinetics of chromium (VI) sorption by fibrous anionite FIBAN AK-22. pp. 74--81

Summary: An anionite (FIBAN AK-22) has been shown to absorb chromium (VI) ions from chloride and sulfate solutions in a wide pH range and to be wellregenerating. These properties permit FIBAN AK-22 to be used as a sorbent for sewage water purification.

Egiazarov Yu. G., Cherches B. Kh., Potapova L. L., Zhizhenko G. A.
Low-temperature steam-methane conversion on nickel-containing catalysts. pp. 82--87

Summary: An introduction of magnesium oxide into a composition of nickel catalyst has a promotion effect on the catalyst activity in a steam-methane conversion. A formation of NiO--MgO solid solution during the preparation of the modified nickel catalyst results in increasing dispersity of the reduced nickel. The Ni--Mg catalyst obtained has a higher activity as compared to the Pd-catalyst previously synthesized.

Komarov V. S., Repina N. S., Oputina A. G.
Structure and ion-exchanging properties of zirconium phosphates and silicates. pp. 88--92

Summary: Samples of zirconium silicate and Zr(SiO3)2--SiO2--Zr(HPO4)2 have been synthesized and their ion-exchange properties have been studied depending on their composition. Structure and ion-exchange properties of the samples studied do not obey an additivity rule and their dependence on a composition goes through maximum. This fact evidences a mutual effect of the components of a mixture on a structure formation and a surface nature. Except for ion-exchange properties, the samples themselves are interesting by their ability to dry deeply gases and gas mixtures.

Lesnikovich A. I.
Liguid Plasma Burning Phenomenon. pp. 93--100

Summary: The review of works devoted to investigation of previously unknown phenomenon of liquid-flame combustion is carried out. An analysis of all the obtained experimental data allow one to conclude that the authocatalysis play an important role in such combustion as well as to reveale the main factors responsible for its realization.

A correlation between prostaglandin analogs effect on phospholipase A2 and their biological activity. pp. 101--113

Summary: A correlation of gastroprotective effect with inhibition activity of phospholipase A2 has been revealed for prostaglandine 9-Me, 10-Me, 11-Me-analogs synthesized.

Ermolenko M. N., Kashkan Zh. N., Kovganko N. V., Sviridov O. V.
Streptavidin isolation and purification using combined biotin-affine and 2-iminobiotin-affine chromatography. pp. 114--120

Summary: A biotin-binding protein, streptavidin, has been isolated from cultural liquid of Streptomyces avidinii by two consecutive process of affine chromatography using biotin and 2-iminobiotin as immobilized ligands. An improved technique for 2-iminobiotin synthesis has been developed. As a result, the 32-fold streptavidin purification has been carried out with 72% yield.

GEOCHEMISTRY

Kuznetsov V. A., Generalova V. A.
Sorption of technogenic radioisotopes on iron hydroxides. pp. 121--125

Summary: A sorption activity of Sr-90 and Cs-137 by natural iron hydroxides depending on a content of bound-water species have been examined.

Lishtvan I. I., Brovka G. P., Davidovskii P. N., Dedyula I. V.
Effect of electrolytes on sorption and migration of radionuclides of Cs-137 and Sr-90 in the peat soils. pp. 126--131

Summary: An effect of electrolytes on distribution coefficients in the peat soils has been studied. A principle possibility has been shown, bused on laboratory and field tests, to isolate radionuclides from roothabitant soil layer by introducing electrolytes into soil.

TECHNICAL CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY

Tsyrlin M. I., Rodchenko D. A.
A structure study of thermal curing polymer during plasma precipitation process. pp. 132--136

Summary: Curing of epoxy oligomer in the presence of different curing agents has been studied during plasma precipitation process. Good results have been obtained in the case of such curing agent as dicyanamide. For a number of compositions a high content of gel-fraction is not obtained due to polymer destruction and a low reactivity of a curing agent.

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL PROBLEMS OF ECOLOGY

Statkevich S. A., Andreeva P. A., Abaev G. N.
Oxidative thermal destruction as a stage of complex processing of wastes containing organic compounds. pp. 137--145

Summary: Main kinetic regularities of thermal destruction (pyrolysis combustion) of wastes containing organic compounds have been studied and described on the base of laboratory experimental data. It should be noted that in these experiments organic wastes of industrial purification systems of oil refining and processing were used both before and after anaerobic digestion. The regularities revealed permit a calculation to be carried out based on mathematical simulation for nonstandard equipment of a reaction thermal unit in which the organic wastes are converted into a fuel gas.

Busel A. V., Kovalev Ya. N.
Ecological and technical aspects of concrete production using clay and salt wastes. pp. 146--153

Summary: A possibility has been shown to use mixed clay and salt wastes as a component of road concrete provided the hazardous pollutants are blocked in a concrete structure.
