Synthesis of porous materials on a base of treated zeolite-containing adsorbents and cracking catalysts. pp. 10--14

Summary: Alkaline activation of treated zeolite-containing adsorbents and cracking catalysts has been studied. It has been shown that synthesis of new zeolite formations of various compositions takes place at alkaline dissolution of these samples: alumo-silicate adsorbents having quite high sorption capacity and specific surface are formed at dissolution of zeolites in acid and hydroxides precipitation. It has been stated that products of activation of zeolite-containing adsorbents are equal to initial samples and after granulation can be used at direct destination or after acidic treatment they can be used as alumo-silicate adsorbents and so on.

Non-emperical calculations of p-ethylbenzenesulfo-acid salts structure. pp. 24--27

Summary: Calculations of the p-ethylbenzenesulfo-acid salt (C2H5C6H4SO3-I+, I = Li, Na, K, Ag) structure have been performed by non-empirical SCF MO LCAO method using the basis sets MINI(d), 3-21 G*, MIDI(d), MP2/3-21G*, MP2/MIDI(d). It has been shown that alkaline metal ions are connected with two oxygen atoms of a sulfo-group. Silver ion is located at the equal distances from free oxygen atoms. This is correspond to non symmetric and symmetric ionic associates respectively and correlates with IR spectra of salts of dinonylnaphthalene sulfo-acid. A band splitting of antisymmetric stretching vibrations of S-O bonds has been found in the IR spectra of unhydrated salts of alkali metals but not of Ag salt. The calculation results are comparable to experimental data for sulfonic cation exchangers and for salts of dinonylnaphthalene sulfo-acid.

Extraction of tryptophan from water -- salt solutions of dinonyl-naphthalene sulfo-acid. pp. 28--31

Summary: It has been established that a maximum of extraction of tryptophan by dinonylnaphthalene sulfo-acid is observed at value of pH 2.5 providing approximately identical contents of cationic and zwitterionic forms of amino-acid. In this case extraction process can proceed both on ion exchange mechanism and at the expense of amino-carboxylic chain interaction. It has been determined that a maximum of extraction of amino-acid is characterized by a minimum of water sorption by extraction complexes.

Summary: Method of determination of higher carbonic acids and carboxyl groups in polyvinyl chloride has been offered. This method is based on a reaction of acidic groups of the sample with colour reagent -- ionic associate of sulfo-phthalein dye (bromthymol blue) with trinonyloctadecylammonia in binary solvent: toluene -- tetrahydrofuran. The method has high sensitivity and good reproducibility.

Summary: Isotherms of two ions in «clear» binary and pseudo-binary exchanges for three- and four-ionic balances are compared. It has been shown that form of isotherms of pseudo-binary exchanges is analogical to «clear» binary one only in some regions of balanced compositions and it depends on ions position in a selectivity row.

Electrochemical oxidation of methanol on platinum and nickel alloyed with platinum and indium as ions-beam processing. pp. 58--63

Summary: Electrochemical oxidation of methanol in alkaline medium on platinum electrode and electrodes on a base of cellular nickel alloyed with platinum and indium as ions-beam processing has been studied by cyclic voltammetry method. Influence of scan rates of potential onto position and magnitude of peak current of methanol electrooxidation has been analyzed. It has been found that electrode process is limited by reactive particles diffusion on a majority of electrodes on a base of cellular nickel. The largest electro-catalytic activity was observed on those electrodes where electrode process is limited by electrons transfer stage.
