Summary: Flammability, strain and strengh properties, thermal, thermomechanical properties of pyromellitimide films modified with phosphorus anhydride have been studied. The effect of the modifying agent on kinetics of cyclization of polyamic acid compositions containing phosphorus anhydride has been investigated. We have demonstrated that the modification of polypyromellitimide with phosphorus anhydride allows oxygen index of the polyimide material, to be steeply increase, its thermal and thermomechanical properties to be considerably improve and the amount of heat generated during its burning to be grealty reduce at the same time practically preserving its good strain and strength characteristics.

Summary: The amounts of the ionic species of lysine Lys2+ and Lys+ extracted from the lysine-NaCl aqueous solutions by a liquid cation exchanger (dinonyl naphtalene sulfonic acid dissolved in heptane) have been computed. The increase in selectivity of Lys+ has been observed at pH 2.5--4.0. The effect was interpreted accounting for an additional interaction between ions Lys2+ and Lys+ in the organic phase.

11-Dezoxy PGE analogues and PGH carboanalogues as prototypes of low molecular weight immunostimulators for peroral usage. pp. 65--69

Summary: To find promising immunostimulator prototypes among synthetic prostaglandin analogues, immunotropic activities of a number of new synthesized prostanoids were studied. In terms of their chemical structure, the compounds were 11-dezoxi PGE analogues and PGH carbaanalogues synthesized on the basis of new prostanoid synthons such as 1,1-ethylenedioxy-2-acylcyclopentenes, 2-acylcyclopentene-2-en-1-ols and 2-acylbicyclo[2, 2, 1] heptenes. It was found out that 7 of the 15 studied prostanoids, administrated per os at saturation doses of 0.5-10 µg/kg simultaneously with immunization, increased the primary immune response to sheep red blood cells in CBA mice. It should be pointed out that oxoethylic, oxopentylic and 6-oxocarbonylic fragments resulted, on condition of the presence of malonic ester residue in w-chain, in gradual enhancement of immunostimulating activity of the prostanoids. The exchange of malonic ester residue for pentyl or phenylisoxazolic fragment, carried out in w-chain, resulted in displaying the sufficient immunosuppressive activity.

Inactivating action of ultrasoonic cavitation on oligomeric ferments-glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and urease. pp. 70--76

Summary: Inactivation of two oligomeric enzymes -- glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) and soya bean urease by ultrasonic cavitation (27 kHz, specific intensity -- 60 W/cm2) was studied in buffered physiological solution, pH 7.4 and in water at 25-60 °C. Two-step US-inactivation of G6PDH was shown at 35-45 °C and the rate constants of inactivation were determined for both steps. Any steps of urease US-inactivation at 37-60 °C and enzyme concentration 127.1 nM were not displayed. The US-inactivation rates of both enzymes were much higher as those at their thermoinactivation.
