The collection contains the experimental data, description of biological effects of ionised radiation in small dozes and features of radionuclides migration in various ecosystems reported at the Scientific-Practical Conference of Young Scientists "Fundamental and Applied Problems of Radiobiology and Radioecology" (Minsk, April 23-24, 2002). Contributions of scientists and post-graduate students from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, institutions of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, and also the researchers and students of higher educational institutions of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan are presented in the collection. The basic attention in the papers is given to the most urgent directions in scientific research in the field of radiating genetics and biochemistry, biomedical aspects of radiation action, and also radiobiology of plants and radiating ecology. The collection is addressed to the biochemists, geneticists, ecologists, physicians and biologists engaged in problems of radiating biology and radioecology.
