The Conference devoted to 70th Anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the "Belbiofarm" Concern, the Department of Biological Sciences of the NASB, the Scientific Council on Biotechnology Problems under the Department, the Belarusian Microbiology Society, the Institute of Microbiology of the NASB. In the collection of the Conference materials, the problems of biotechnology, state and prospects of the microbiology industry development in the Republic of Belarus are reviewed, the scientific problems of physiology, biochemistry and genetics of microorganisms, the biologically active compounds of microorganisms, and use of microorganisms in industry, medicine, agriculture and environment protection are discussed.
