In the collection, the materials of the Belarusian-American Symposium "Biological activity and transport of drugs" (Grodno, Belarus, June 16, 1999) are published. The papers reflecting results of fundamental scientific research on finding out of the mechanisms of action and test of biological activity of connections of a natural origin -- L-aminoacids, vitamins, hormones, their structural analogues or compositions are included in the collection. In plenary reports and report of the Symposium participants, the practical results are also submitted. The prospects of creation of new effective medicinal preparations on the basis of strategy of operation regulatory action of the set of above mentioned compounds for therapy of a wide spectrum of diseases and pathological condition are discussed. The materials of the Symposium are of interest for the biochemists, pharmacologists, physiologists, clinicists, experts in the field of technology and manufacture of medicinal preparations.
