In the book, the reports submitted on the Second International Scientific and Technical Conference "Modeling of Intellectual Processes of Designing and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM/*98)" are published. In the compressed form are presented the basic results received in the countries of CIS and Baltia during two years past after the first conference under the same name. The questions of conceptual modeling of technical systems, methods, models both algorithms of optimization of objects and processes of designing and manufacturing, basis of technologies of development and operation of intellectual CAD, creation of information maintenance, bases of design knowledge and expert systems of computer construction of designs and technologies, analysis and synthesis of industrial objects are shortly discussed.
The Conference was organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, the Scientific-Research Amalgamation "Cybernetics" of the NASB, the Scientific Center for Machine Mechanics Problems of the NASB, the Belarusian Society of Operations Research.
