Leonid I. Nefyodov Taurin: biochemistry, pharmacology and medical application. Grodno. 1999. 140 pages. In Russian. Papercover |
In the book prepared in the Institute of Biochemistry of NASB, the modern literature data, and also results of own experimental and clinical research on biochemistry, pharmacology and medical application of taurin (2-aminoethanesulphonic acid) -- a product of sulfur-containing aminoacids transformations, relatively irreplaceable nuthrient and high activity endogenic regulator of metabolic processes, effective means for purposeful correction and therapy of a wide spectrum of pathological condition having radioprotector, antioxidant, membrane stabilizing, neuroeffector, hepato- and cardioprotector action on functional systems of organism are submitted.
The significant part of the submitted results is received in the framework of the State Scientific and Technical Program "To create new effective medicinal preparations on a basis of aminoacids and their derivative" for their manufacture at the Grodno Factory of Medical Preparations, during which realization is created and is registered a new effective domestic medicinal preparation "taurin".
The analysis of the basic mechanisms of realization of biological activity of L-aminoacids and their derivatives, and also results and prospects of application of connections of this class is submitted as means for directed metabolic therapy received on the basis of strategy of use of their biological properties, consisting in the directed influence on functional-metabolic mutual relation varied at a concrete pathology. Such influence can be carried out at the expense of influence on regulator mechanisms of reactions of an intermediate exchange of aminoacids, limiting stages basic metabolic flows, utilization power substrates by tissues, systems of transport of these connections and processes of formation their intracellular fund.
The book is aimed to biochemists, pharmacologists, physiologists, medical experts and experimenters, practical doctors, experts in the field of technology and manufacture of medicinal preparations, and also students and post-graduate students of medical-biological profile.
