The dictionary prepared by Prof. Nikolai A. Kartel Dc.Sc., Alena M. Makeyeva Ph.D. and Prof. Anna M. Mezenko Dc.Sc. is the first encyclopaedic directory on genetics issued in Belarus and also in territory of the former Soviet Union. It contains about 5,000 terms given in alphabetic order. The English-Russian dictionary of the genetic terms is also applied. The dictionary is aimed to the scientists, teachers and students, experts of the appropriate scientific and industrial branches.
