The dictionary prepared in the Ya.Kolas Institute of Linguistics of NAS of Belarus is the first in the Belarusian lexicographic practice the directory on foreign languages vocabulary. It includes about 25,000 common words and most widespread terms from different branches of knowledge borrowed from other languages or formed from foreign lexical elements. Each word is accompanied by the information on its origin and explanatories. New lexical units are taken into account also which have come in the active use during last decade. The dictionary is aimed for a wide circle of the readers.
