Doctor of Biological Sciences (1977), Professor (1987).
Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Elected in 1989 on speciality Genetics.

Membership of other Academies, Scientific Societies and Councils
Chairman of the Belarusian National Committee for the UNESCO Programme "Man and the Biosphere" (1980-1990),
Vice President and Scientific Secretary of the Belarusian Society of Geneticists and Breeders (1966-1988),
Member of the Moscow Society of Naturalists.

Current Position
The Institute of Genetics and Cytology of NAS of Belarus, Chief Scientist.
