Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Elected in 1996 on speciality Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry.

Membership of other Academies, Scientific Societies and Councils
Member of International Society for Nucleic Acids Chemistry Study.

Member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Biopolymers and Cell" (since 1989)

The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Deputy Director for Research work.

Chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology of the components of nucleic acids.

1. Synthesis and antiviral and cytostatic properties of 3-deoxy-3-fluoro-and 2-azido-3-fluoro-2,3-dideoxy-D-ribofuranosides of natural heterocyclic bases (1991).
2. Synthesis of 2',3'-dideoxy-3'-fluorothymidine using individual anomers of 1,5-di-O-bensoyl-2,3-dideoxy-3-fluoro-D-erythro -pentofuranose as glycosylating agents (1993).
3. Conformational analysis of 3'-fluorinated A2'-5'A2'-5'A fragments. Relation between conformation and biological activity (1994).
4. Synthesis and antiviral activity of 3'-C-branched-3'-C-deoxy analogues of adenosine (1996).
